POSITION: Assistant Executive Director for Department of Education

LOCATION: El Reno, Ok

MAJOR DUTIES: The AED-DOE (Assistant Exe. Director for Department of Education) will be the second top administrator of the DOE. The AED-DOE will assume the duties of when the Exe. Director is out of the office. The AED-DOE will be involved with the daily operations of the CADOE, achieving identified tribal education goals/objectives, development of the CADOE administrative procedures, development and implementation of the Strategic Plan for Education and will seek out new education initiatives which will benefit the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The AED-DOE will assist with compilation and timely submission of all CADOE reports from each of the programs, will identify and review Indian education issues, review education programs performance objective, goals, assist with the development of a student data base for tracking progress, assist programs with needs assessments and compile education surveys, and meet with school boards, state and federal education entities, and state, national Indian Education organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Master Degree in Education related field but will accept Bachelors Degree with four years of Education Administration Experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft office Applications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Valid State Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work well with the Public and Tribal Members.
- Cheyenne-Arapaho Preference. Must pass pre-hire drug screening.
