POSITION: Assistant Director of Nursing

LOCATION: Economic Development, Concho, Oklahoma

Description Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Nurses, performs work of considerable difficulty in supervising and providing professional and technical guidance to subordinate nursing staff. Performs highly complex and varied tasks required independent knowledge. Participates in all management functions of the nursing department. Knowledge of State and Federal resident care regulations. Ability to supervise assigned personnel. Ability to supervise the proper care and custody of residents and assure that orders of physicians care are carried out.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keeps record of census. Reviews and mails doctors orders to be signed. Reviews new resident applications for determination for admission and placement. Performs all data entries on new residents.
- Makes decisions regarding resident’s medical needs in emergency. Ensures residents are cared for safely and with dignity.
- Supervises and monitors work performance in terms of resident care, staff regulations and efficiency of service. Assists the Director of Nurses, and other departmental managers to resolve interdepartmental problems. Assumes duties of the Director of Nurses during absence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current unencumbered license in Oklahoma as a Licensed Practical Nurse, registered with the State Board of Nursing in Oklahoma. Must be a graduate of a State approved school of practical or professional nursing. Long Term Care experience required. Must pass OSBI background check and pre-employment drug screening.
SALARY: Commensurate with Education and work experience.
