POSITION: Accounts Manager
LOCATION: Roads Construction Program Building, Concho, Oklahoma

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accounts Manager shall fall under the direct supervision of the Roads Construction Program Director and shall serve as the manager for all accounts payable, receivable, inventory of assets, and payroll reporting under the Roads Construction Program. More importantly, the incumbent will be responsible for the inventory of property and shall be accountable for keeping time for all RCP staff, and organizing mileage logs for program vehicles. The Accounts Manager shall be responsible for maintaining records of all purchases for equipment, materials, and supplies for all program services administered by the Roads Construction Program. The Accounts Manager shall work cooperatively with the Project Officers, Project Inspector, and Administrative Assistant to ensure cuff-account records and inventory files are maintained and organized specific to projects and/or services.
- Shall be required to maintain an organized record-keeping system for expense reporting for various activities of the Roads Construction Program.
- Shall be responsible for maintaining a cuff account of expenses.
- Shall be accountable for filing program contracts, proposals, and other pertinent documents.
- Must maintain accurate records to assist in budget analysis and trends for program expenses.
- Will be required to become familiar with Tribes’ Property & Procurement Policies
- Shall be responsible to perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or supervisory staff.
- Must maintain confidentiality of records, files, documents, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires a responsible and reliable individual who is able to work independently with little supervision and make decisions concerning proper expenses related to projects and must maintain compliance with budget requirements. Incumbent should be able to follow directions and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Incumbent should have knowledge in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable. Applicant should possess basic clerical skills, such as typing and ten-key, and should have extensive knowledge in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and some Access. The Accounts Manager requires an individual able to demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities and able to delegate tasks to various supportive staff to ensure productiveness in duties and assignments. Knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) desired but not required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or other field with demonstrated skills in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Minimum of at least 2 years experience in clerical, secretary, or receptionist work, or equivalent.
- High School Diploma, or GED Certification
- Years of experience may be acceptable to be equivalent to the education and experience requirements.
- Must demonstrate knowledge in the operation of various office machines.
- Demonstrate computer skills and/or knowledge, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and/or other various other applications.
- Must be willing and able to attend various training programs as designated by the Program Director
- Must possess a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License
- Ability to communicate and relate to Indian, and non-Indian, communities
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen/test.

SALARY: Beginning salary shall commensurate to experience and education with increases provided upon satisfactory completion of probation and shall depend on evaluation. Some training is offered and great benefits package available.
